In the Times News today you should have a Smart Source and a Red Plum!  If you didn't get all your inserts, call the customer service number listed inside the front page!

So in yesterday's Bountiful Basket there were about 15 plums that were ripe so I thought I would try something new.  I found a recipe for Plum/Raspberry cobler on the food network and it is sooo good!  I had to buy almonds and raspberries but it was worth it for a Father's Day desert.  Last week we got 3 coconuts and I made a cake, I will post it in a couple of days.  I love the Bountiful Basket program, you just have to be a little creative sometimes to use what you get!  Here is the link for the recipe that I used, http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/plum-raspberry-crumble-recipe/index.html

My Walgreen's shopping trip

3 packs of Bic razors, used Walgreen's coupon making them $3.49 each, then used (3) $3.00 coupons.  Total OOP $2.10, saved $10.50.

3 more pack of Bic razors, same scenario as above except these were originally $6.99 so my OOP was $2.10, saved $18.50.

3 bottles of John Freida Shampoo for $15.00, used (3) $2.50 coupons from JohnFreida.com; 2 Bic Soleil razors @ $5.99 each, used Walgreen's coupon making them $3.49 each, then used (3) $3.00 off coupons.  Total OOP $10.50, saved $29.37 and got a $5.00 RR back.

My Bountiful Basket!

I got the Mexican add-on pack for $7.50.  In it were 2 large onions, 4 Avacados, 6 limes, 3 Jalepeno peppers, 2 large heads of garlic, 1 bunch cilantro, 14 tomatillo's and 8 green banana peppers.  Awesome!!! 

The regular basket that is $15.00 had 3 Coconuts, 1 cantaloupe, 5 tomatoes, 1 head of Romaine lettuce, 1 large celery, 1 bunch of broccoli, 1 bag of red grapes, 8 apricots, 9 apples, 15 red potatoes, 9 bananas and a bunch of green beans! 

I already made fresh salsa which my family doesn't usually get until the garden is producing.  This is all that is left out of the huge bowlful that I made.

Bountiful Basket orders have to be done today!

A couple of weeks ago I did a post about this program and it was not available in Burley but now it is! Go to http://www.bountifulbaskets.org/ and check it out. You order on Tuesday, pick up at 10:15 am on Saturday and the Mountain View School. It costs $15.00 for awesome fresh produce (about $50.00 retail) and you need to take a laundry basket or large box to pick up your produce.


For everyone in the Twin Falls area, your pickup is at KMVT at 11:30 am on Saturday.

Anyone is welcome to volunteer an hour before pickup time! Please post comments and tell us what you think!

Since we didn't get any inserts last week because of Memorial Day, we will be getting a Smart Source, a Red Plum, and a P&G.  If you are not already getting 5 copies of the Sunday paper, you can get a daily paper and 5 Sunday papers each week for $18.00 per month.  There is no contract so if you try it for a month or two and decide that it isn't for you, then you can always cancel.  To save the kind of money that we save, you need to get multiple copies of the same coupon so you can stockpile when the product is on sale and you have coupons to go with the sale.
