It is fabulous. Fab.u.lous. You can go to the site and read about it, but I will still share a little bit of information. I just started doing this, as it was recommended by just about every person I ran into. Each week you purchase your Bountiful Basket online (for me, it's on Mondays). Then on Saturday, you pick up your basket(s) at your designated location. Each basket has six veggies and six fruits...all for $15. For instance, this morning when I went to pick up my Basket, it contained: 8-10 roma tomatoes, 5 avocados, 1 very large head romaine lettuce, 2 very large cucumbers, 2 squash, 1 small bag of baby carrots, 1 coconut, 1 bunch of bananas, 1 bag of apples, 1 bag of nectarines, a small container of strawberries, a small container of blackberries (oh, divine!) and 3 navel oranges that are the size of grapefruits.

Some weeks they offer "extras" or "add-ons". For instance, one week they offered 12 pounds of strawberries for $8. They have also offered what they called the 'Mexican package', which contained avocados, onions, garlic, & Mexican limes, all for $6.50. They also offer loaves of bread (5 loaves for $10), which isn't fabulous price, but I hear the bread is amazing. Also, bread freezes well.

You never know what they will offer as "extras" each week until you log-on, but it is definitely worth it! You also don't know what exact produce you get until the day of pick-up, so I just build my menu for the following week around what was in my basket. I took my laundry basket (that fits on my hip) and came home with it FULL. It was so exciting to know I was getting a.ma.zing produce for $15!!

In the paper today...

We got Albertson's Twice the Value coupons that expire Tuesday night, a Smart Source and a Red Plum.  We can now double any manufacturer's coupon $1.00 or less even if it says Don Not Double.
We still can only use 3 per trip.  (make a purchase, go out to your car and come back in!)
They are still numbered 1,2,3 so make sure you don't use 2 of the same number.
You can not make money on doubles, meaning if something is on sale for $1.79 and you have a $1.00 off coupon, your double is worth $.79.  You always pay tax on the manufacturer's coupon, not on the Albertson's double coupon.  So in the above example you would pay $.06 for that item.

Albertson's New Twice the Value Coupon Policy

Just want to let everyone know that Albertsons will now double any coupon $1.00 or less in value EVEN if it says Do Not Double on it!  So get ready for some great deals this Sunday, Monday and Tuesday because all the internet printables that go with the promo this week are now available to double!

Albertson's does not get reimbursed from the manufacturer for the double coupon, just the value of the coupon itself so they have decided (corporate) that it is not worth the hassle of checking each coupon to see if you can double it or not.  The cashiers at the Burley store are prepared, I haven't spoken to anyone in Twin Falls yet.

Great news!  I will post some double ideas later on.

Double coupon shopping on Monday.  2 LA Looks hair gels $2.99 each, used (2)$1.00 off and doubled them; 1 Pantene Hairspray $2.14, used $1.00 off and doubled it.  Total OOP $2.43, saved $8.15.

1 Eucerin Lotion $2.39, used $1.00 off coupon; 1 OXY $2.49, used $1.00 off; 1 Pantene Hair Gel $2.14, used $1.00 off and doubled all 3.  Total OOP $1.26, saved $13.65.

3 Pantene products $2.14 each, used (3) $1.00 off coupons and doubled them.  Total OOP $.63!  Saved $12.45.

3 Bottles of Welch's Juice $3.00 each, used $1.00 off and doubled them.  Total OOP $3.36, saved $10.58.

1 Jar of Nalley Pickles $3.99, used $.75 and $.55 instore coupon and doubled the $.75 one, 2 Nestle Milk Shakes $1.29 each, used $1.00/2 ; 2 Lindsay Olives $2.69, used BOGO free and $1.00 off coupon and doubled it.  Total OOP $3.76, saved $10.14.
