DOUBLE COUPONS IN TODAY'S PAPER!

Look for your double coupons on a single sheet ad, they are along the side.  The valid dates are 2/28 (today) through 3/6 (Saturday) which is awesome!  That means you can use some with the sale that ends on Tuesday night and save some to use on the sale that starts on Wednesday!  Plus there is another amazing promo that starts today that will be my next post!
Remember double coupon rules:  You can only use 3 doubles per trip!
You can double any manufacturer coupons $1.00 or less in value unless it says Do Not Double.
You cannot exceed the value of the item being purchased.

My monthly budget review

Sorry to have so many posts in a row but today was my last shopping trip for the month!  This month I spent a total of $193.62 and I bought $722.50 worth of products.  I still have a catalina for $3.50 and 1 $10.00 Register Reward to use.

1st trip through

 

This is my first of 3 transactions.  Then I went back in the store and did 2 more transactions.  I bought 5 boxes of cereal and used a $2.00/5 coupon that printed from the register 6 weeks ago when I bought GM cereal; 2 boxes of Betty Crocker Supreme, used a $.75/2 coupon from coupons.com; 2 Pillsbury Cresent Rolls, used a $.50/2 coupon.  Total before coupons and tax was $20.50, I used $3.25 in coupons.  Total OOP was $18.48 and I got a $7.00 catalina back to use on my next trip.  Remember the 1st time through on a catalina sale is the most expensive.  I saved $20.76.

2nd transaction

 

5 boxes of cereal, used a $2.00 off 5 coupon that I got last time I bought GM cereal from the register; 4 Pillsbury Cresent Rolls, (the Grands biscuits should be in the other picture) used (2) $.50/2 coupons.  Total before coupons and tax $21.50, after coupons $17.50, paid with $7.00 catalina from 1st trip, total OOP $11.73.  Saved $27.11 and got another $7.00 catalina

Next transaction

I bought 5 boxes of Wanchai Ferry Dinners at $3.50 each, used(5) $1.00 coupons; 2 Pillsbury Cresent Rolls and used a $.30 off 2 coupon.  Total before coupons: $20.00, after coupons $14.70, paid with a $7.00 catalina.  Total OOP $8.90 and got another $7.00 catalina.  I saved $22.75 and got a $2.00 off survey on my receipt.

Shopping trip tonight!

 

I bought 4 boxes of Macaroni Grill dinner kits for $3.50 each, used (4) $1.00 off coupons, 1 Bisquik Shake and Pour for $1.00, no coupon (it was my filler to get to $20.00) and 2 boxes of cereal, used $1.00/2 coupon.  Total before coupons and tax: $20.00, after coupons: $15.00, paid with my $7.00 catalina from last trip, total OOP $9.20 and I got another $7.00 catalina.  I saved $26.53.

My last trip through I bought 1 gallon of milk $2.19; 2 Albertson's Butter $1.79 each; 2 onions $.46; 3 Diet Pepsi's $1.00 each; 2 Pkgs of herbs $1.99 each.  Total $14.01, paid with a $7.00 catalina so total OOP was $7.01 and I saved $11.06

Sorry for the horrible picture, a new camera is on my list!  I won't go into details on this post because the sale ended last Tuesday but I am just updating my monthly review.  I spent $42.34 and saved $72.24 or 64%.

So I know 90% of you do not care about my status but I have been getting alot of questions so I am doing this post so I can stop answering emails!  I am moving to Pocatello, yes the rumors are true!  My husband and I are buying radio stations and our house is up for sale.  We will be moving when the house sells but at this point I am planning on keeping up with the blog.  So if anyone needs an awesome house I have one for sale!  We are sad to leave the area but excited for our new adventure.  Thanks for all your support!

Albertson's Catalina UPDATE!

I just got off the phone with Albertson's and they say you can roll this catalina.  Meaning you can purchase $20.00 in 1 transaction and get your $7.00 back and then purchase another $20.00 worth, use the first $7.00 catalina and still get a new one.  Also Diane (head of cashiers) says you can do 3 separate transactions at a time.  Meaning put your 1st down, use a separator, 2nd set, separator and pay 3 separate time.   You do not have to leave the store since you are not using doubles.  You are allowed 3 transactions per trip.  Also it seems to be printing if you spend $20.00 before coupons so it seems to be working just like all the other catalina deals that we have done in the past.  Thanks and feel free to post comments about if it works or doesn't work.  We are all trying to figure this one out together!

So this is a pretty good sale especially for all the new couponers that are just starting to save coupons since these are all internet printables.  I am hoping that the limit 1 per customer is per trip but if not just make the most of your purchase.

So now that I have taught 15 classes in the last month about how catalina deals work, they changed the rules!  Hopefully this is not a permanent change!

Albertson's Discussion

I taught a class last night and had several people say that they are having a hard time getting product.  I just got off the phone with Scott and his advice is to speak to either Lanning or Scott and tell them that you are a steady shopper and that you will be buying product each week.  Also on Wednesday when the new ads start you can call or go into the store and order what you want for that week.  The shipment will come in Sunday night and you will be able to pick it up on Monday or Tuesday.  Do not order if you will not pick it up.  If you order and you do not go pay for it, you will not be able to order again.  If you do not order on Wednesdays then it will not be here before the sale is over.  I spoke with him about getting a list together so they have an idea of how many people will be shopping on a weekly basis so hopefully that will help!  Make sure you speak to Scott or Lanning for your orders, or if they are not there then have Teena leave them a note.  Hope this helps!

Also someone called the customer service line and asked if there could be a separate checkstand for Double couponers so we would not have to leave the store and come back in.  It is not about the checkstand, it is Albertson's Corporate Policy stated on the Twice the Value Coupon that says 3 Twice the Value coupons can be used per trip.  Please do not abuse the rules or we will all lose out!

Double coupon questions

Evidently the Mini-Cassia Edition is the only Times News that got Double Coupons yesterday.  I do not know why the Twin Falls Edition did not get them.  My only suggestion is to call the Times News and ask since I seem to get a different answer each time I call.  Maybe if enough people call in and ask then something will change!  Sorry that I am not more help!

1st trip through: 2 pkgs Angel Soft $1.99 each, used (2)$.50/1 from 2/14 RP, 1 Pkg Brawny Paper Towels $5.99, used $1.00/1 from 1/21 RP, I also bought 5 boxes of Stove Top Stuffing for $.50 and used a coupon for buy 4 get one free.  I doubled the Angel Soft and Brawny coupons.  Total OOP was $9.13 and I saved $27.15 plus got back a $3.00 catalina for the stuffing.

2nd Trip: 3 Pkgs Angel Soft $1.99 each, used (3) $.50 from 2/14 RP, doubled them.  Total OOP was $3.24 and I saved $13.50.

Walgreen's shopping trip this morning

2 gallons of milk $2.19 each; 2 DayQuil and 2 NyQuil tablets $5.00 each.  Used (4) $2.00/1 coupon from 1/17 P&G.  Paid with (2) $6.00 RR from a previous trip.  My OOP was $5.85 and I got a $10.00 RR back for buying $20.00 worth of Vicks products.  That means I paid $.50 a box for cold medicine! Savings was $27.96 which is 83%.

So the scenario from this morning that I did was:
Buy 8 Garnier Fructis products that are on sale 3/$10.  There is a RR of $10.00 when you spend $20.00 but since the 15% comes off first you must buy 8 for the total to be over $20.00.  Then you will get a $10.00 RR back.  I bought 8 products for $10 so I paid $1.30 per bottle.

Just remember anything that you are getting a RR on you will have to factor in the 15%.  So if you are supposed to spend $10.00 and get a $2.00 RR you will have to spend about $12.00 before you use your coupons.
